Increase of Ethanol in Gasoline and Biodiesel in Diesel to reduce emissions
The Brazilian government is going to increase the proportion of ethanol in gasoline and of Biodiesel in Diesel, as a measure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The proposal aims to boost biofuels and align the country with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
This measure can also contribute to energy security and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
But for that we will also have to expand the production of biofuels and preferably using renewable energy sources, so that we can generate a big difference in the current emissions indices.
